The makers of ELdoRIDEdo are producing carbon parts including propellers since 1993 for the aerospace and automotive market. Their parts are used also for motor powered hang-gliders and para-gliders. Their carbon propeller for aerospace can change the angle of the blades. The team got its first Hydrofoil Kiteboard in 2012. Since then, they're constantly working on the idea of an Electric Foil with impeller to develop their own electric Hydrofoil Surfboard.
The E-Hydrofoil is handmade in the Czech Republic and Sport Prop has chosen to take an impeller for safety reasons. Most current Electric motorized Hydrofoils are using a propeller to accelerate on the water. The eFoil Board is 90 inch (225 cm) long, 35 inc (85 cm) wide and has a height of 40 inch (100 cm). It can carry riders up to 265 lbs or 125 kg.
The battery pack of this E-Hydrofoil Surfboard has 58V at 62 Ah and shall last up 60 minutes depending on the riders weight and weather conditions. The ELdoRIDEdo Board is supposed to reach a speed of 48 km/h (30 mph) and is available with a normal or inflatable surfboard. There is an optional battery pack with 72 Ah, which shall last up to 90 minutes, but this battery pack will not fit to the inflatable board.
The Electric Hydrofoil with impeller is available 4Sale since 2018, but we haven't heard any updates, so maybe the project is put on ice and you probably can't buy one fastly.
