The Elevate is an inflatable electric foil surfboard which is build in Germany close to the Bodensee and continues the studies of the swedish Evolo Hydrofoil project. The idea was to develop a multipurpose foil surfboard with electric motor which can be used with an electric powered expeller engine or be used as a foil Windsurf- or even Kiteboard and the goal of the study is to show that it is possible to ride at speeds of 30 km/h with only 1kW electric power. The mission was also to provide all the necessary parts for building an Electric Surfboard with Hydrofoil for low money, so they can help DIY builders to fulfill their dreams of an own eFoil Surfboard.
The inflatable electric foil surfboard is 90" (28 cm) long, 31" (80 cm) wide and has a total weight of 25 kg (55lbs). If you deflate the Elevate and dismount the mast and wings you can easily store it in the back of a car. The team has recently developed their electric engine 2.0 (called Dual-Pod) using an expeller which is supposed to cut the price of the engine by 50%. The powered expeller engine has 2,000 watt and the swappable batteries are good for a 30 minutes ride or a range of 15 km (9.3 miles). The cruise speed of the Elevate E-Surfboard is about 25-30 km/h (15.5-18.6 mph). Given the amount of electric hydrofoils which are entering the market in 2018, the electric Surfboard of Elevate team is limiting the amount of information they are releasing at this time.
Inflatable E-Surfboard with eFoil Add-On
The "E-Foil Add On System" can be built on any surf or SUP board. However, in order to achieve better handling characteristics, the Elevate Team has also developed an inflatable Surfboard that meets all the requirements of an e-foil and is also ideal for transport with a packing size of only 80x20x20cm. It is available in 2 sizes (130l + 155l) and can also be used for the new wing-foiling.

The waterproof remote control with LCD display shows the battery indication, power, ... This remote fits perfect to the other Electric Surrboard DIY parts such as the eFoil Motor Engine. Other Features are:

Plug & Play Impeller Drive Set (Electric Engine)
This electric motor set comes with a drive unit complete with mast and mounting plate ready to screw on almost all Surfboards, such as Moses, Slingshot, Zeeeko, GongFoil, Takuma, Horue, Fanatic, Naish, Axis, Rlboards & also others. The associated electronic engine control unit is fully programmable and equipped with safety switches similar to those found on electric motorcycles. Perfect hydrodynamic optimization of the drive allowed it to reduce the induced resistance and, due to the Chip Driven Motor, flights with less than 1kw of power are possible. That corresponds approximately to the performance of modern MTB or Fat bikes. As a result, driving performance over one hour is possible even with small, inexpensive batteries and will also provide support with solar cells embedded in the Electric Surfboard surface. For Hobby Builders this set is a good option to safe some money and get the DIY experience.
